Privacy Policy
Last updated 28 August 2026
Brightlobe makes games for young children. This policy explains what we do with personal data across brightlobe.com and littlestompclub.com.
The short version: if you join a waitlist, we keep your email address so we can email you about it. We don't do anything else with it, we don't sell it, and neither website uses cookies or tracking of any kind.
1. Who we are
Brightlobe is the data controller for the personal data described here.
| Controller | Brightlobe Limited |
|---|---|
| Company number | 08376959 |
| Registered address | Brightlobe, 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom |
| Contact | hello@brightlobe.com |
2. What we collect
Only what you type into a waitlist form, plus a label telling us which form it came from:
| Data | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Your email address | The waitlist form you filled in |
| Which form you used, and that you ticked the consent box | Recorded automatically with your signup |
We do not ask for your name, address, phone number, date of birth or payment details, and neither site has anywhere to enter them.
What we do not collect
- No cookies. Neither website sets a single cookie.
- No analytics or tracking. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recording, no fingerprinting.
- No accounts. There is nothing to log into.
- No data from children. Our games are made for three- to five-year-olds, but these websites are aimed at their grown-ups. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children through them. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we'll delete them.
3. Why we're allowed to hold it
Your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)): the tick box on the waitlist form. Nothing is added to our list without it.
You can withdraw consent whenever you like. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and you can also just email us. Withdrawing doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew.
4. What we use it for
One thing: emailing you about Brightlobe and Little Stomp Club: progress, and when testing opens. That's the whole purpose. We don't profile you, we don't make automated decisions about you, and we don't advertise to you elsewhere based on it.
5. Who else can see it
We don't sell or rent your data, ever. A small number of service providers process it on our behalf:
| Provider | What they do | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.) | Stores the mailing list and sends the emails. Receives your address only when you submit a form. | USA |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Hosts both websites and routes email sent to our addresses. Handles the connection when you visit, including your IP address. | Global network |
| Google (Google Workspace) | Our own mailboxes, so it holds any email you send us. | USA / EU |
| Google Fonts | littlestompclub.com loads a font stylesheet from Google, which means Google sees your IP address on that page. brightlobe.com does not, because its fonts are built into the page. | USA |
We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
6. Data leaving the UK
Mailchimp and Google are US companies, so your email address is stored outside the UK. Those transfers rely on the UK's approved safeguards: the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and/or the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for details.
7. How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until 24 months after our last contact with you, whichever comes first. When you unsubscribe, Mailchimp keeps a record of the unsubscribe itself so we don't email you again by accident.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of what we hold about you;
- correct it if it's wrong;
- delete it;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- send it to you or someone else in a portable format;
- stop using it, by withdrawing consent.
Email hello@brightlobe.com and we'll respond within one month. It's free.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd rather you told us first so we can put it right.
9. Keeping it safe
Both sites are served over HTTPS only. The mailing list sits behind our providers' access controls, and only the owner of Brightlobe can see it. No system is perfectly secure, but there is very little to lose here: we hold an email address and nothing more.
10. Other people's websites
We link to sites we don't control. Little Stomp Club aside, that includes places like the ICO. Their privacy practices are their own.
11. Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant and we hold your email address, we'll tell you by email.
